ABOUT

From the moment I was taken to my first orchestral concert as a child, I was determined to devote my life to music.

Luckily I had a number of inspirational teachers to guide me on my path. Orchestral and choral music have remained equally important to me along the way, and I try to resist being pigeon-holed: the creation of the new; the exploration of eight centuries of vocal and instrumental music; opera and music theatre - all hold their fascination for me, and each genre nourishes my understanding  of the others.

Three countries have defined my life - Germany, the UK and Finland: each has shaped me and each maintains a special place in my heart.
